VSM/ Value Stream Mapping
workplacelean®Value Stream Mapping, VSM, is designed to assist organizations to view their system as a whole and identify areas for improvement.  In this session staff develop a visual representation of their organization's processes, a value stream map, allowing the team to "see" barriers, blockages, and opportunities for improvement.  In drawing this pencil and paper tool, participants are thaught to use exact data collected through direct observation of the work, not their impression of the process.

Organizations often begin their Lean journey with a VSM session.  Leaders "see" the flow of the product or service from customer request to delivery, understand the impact of improvements on all parts of the organization and decide where to begin their improvements.

VSM training is a 12 to 16 hour session for up to 12 participants.
